According to the press release, the partnership will enable Rackspace Hosting customers to use SendGrid’s email solution, ideal for large amounts of email.
“Rackspace and SendGrid share the drive for an exceptional customer experience. We’re excited to bring our infrastructure and deliverability expertise to Rackspace’s customer base,” Jim Franklin, CEO of SendGrid stated.

“We hear from customers all the time that they need a better way to send large amounts of email from their web applications and servers for their transactional email needs. After a long search we found SendGrid to be the leading provider in the marketplace, as they beat out the competition across all of our search criteria. We then worked with SendGrid to create a special offer for Rackspace customers,” said Nishan Sivathasan, director of corporate development for Rackspace.
With over 10 billion emails delivered, SendGrid become rather efficient and effective at taking care of email system needs for tens of thousands of companies. And with increased efficiency comes greater bandwidth, to help even more companies.
